The Community College of Aurora (CCA) Foundation and Aurora Schools Federal Credit Union are clearing a path for Aurora’s young adults to graduate from CCA – debt-free!
The Aurora Gives Scholars program is dedicated to reducing the mounting $1.2 trillion student-loan debt in America. Through a unique partnership with Aurora Public Schools Aurora LIGHTS Career Pathways and Aurora Schools Federal Credit Union, the CCA Foundation is providing these graduating high school seniors with debt-free access to an associate degree from CCA in two years or less. Eligible Aurora Gives Scholars are guaranteed scholarship funding necessary to cover the cost of tuition, books and fees, and Aurora Gives Scholars receive a Chromebook.
Aurora Schools Federal Credit Union (ASFCU), is committed, as well, to increasing affordable access to education and has pledged $5,000 to kick off our campaign to raise $500,000 for Aurora Gives Scholars. Through its commitment, ASFCU is challenging Aurora residents and other local businesses to show their financial support to guarantee Aurora high school students debt-free access to a college degree at CCA.
